The Golden State Warriors won Game 4 to gain a 3-1 advantage over the Houston Rockets in their first-round series behind Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler's lead. However, Brandin Podziemski is a solid contributor for Steve Kerr in this year's postseason. Unfortunately for him, former Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen stumbled over his name while giving him praise.
Allen, who was a premier defender, shouted out Podziemski's effort on “The Chris Vernon Show”. According to him, Podziemski is a capable secondary playmaker in the Warriors' offense. While talking about his impact on the team, Allen just couldn't get the NBA sophomore's name right.
Outside of his pronunciation fumble, the Grizzlies legend heaped praises on Podziemski. He said that the young guard has grown into a solid replacement for Klay Thompson, providing shooting and being an efficient contributor without demanding the ball too much.
“I've got huge respect for him now, playing alongside Jimmy Butler,” said Allen about Podziemski's talent. “I used to be in my feelings, like ‘they never should have never gotten rid of Klay.'… And now I'm looking like ‘They A-ok, man.'”

On a Warriors team that is a bit less deep than their championship editions, Podziemski has emerged. His effort and willingness to adapt have earned him significant time on the floor for Kerr. In order to win the title, the Warriors need him to keep playing like he is and be the ultimate Swiss-Army knife.
Looking ahead, Curry and Butler have a chance to dispatch the Rockets in Game 5 on Wednesday. They need to take care of business quickly to recover before their second-round matchup. Butler valiantly played through injury on Monday night, but it is clear that he needs time to get back to 100%.
The Golden State Warriors are fighting to put the finishing touches on their dynasty. Maybe if they win the title, people won't mess up Podziemski's name anymore.
