The Golden State Warriors were missing a plethora of players in Tuesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Not one player who has made an All-Star appearance played in this game, but with four starters out, the Warriors still came away with a thrilling 124-120 victory. It took outscoring their opponent 35-16 in the fourth quarter, but Jordan Poole and company got the job done.

While veteran stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were among the players to sit out the game, they still had a major impact on the outcome.

“Steph was talking to me the entire game, giving out any piece of advice not only to me but to other guys as well,” Poole told ClutchPoints. “Klay was excited and the group chat was blowing up a little bit; everybody's in the group chat. It's just amazing to have the camaraderie and chemistry that we have.”

The relationships the players have throughout this team go beyond the court. That doesn't sound like much, but it's not that often teams click the way the Warriors do. Relationships and trust have been a major key to their success this season. Players have been in and out of the lineup because of injuries, COVID protocols, and other reasons, but Golden State hasn't missed a beat.

Being able to count on every player from top to bottom to help when needed is something most teams haven't been able to do this season. The culture Curry and the Warriors have built over the years is the reason why all 15 players stay engaged and ready. The next-man-up mentality highlights their strength-in-numbers philosophy, and it helps explain why they're 39-13 this season.
