The Golden State Warriors have had to deal with Stephen Curry being sidelined in recent games and Jordan Poole has done a remarkable job filling in. With Curry's timetable to return unknown, Steve Kerr was blunt about Poole getting more minutes moving forward, via The Athletic's Anthony Slater.

Curry exited Golden State's matchup versus the Houston Rockets on St. Patrick's Day due to a tailbone contusion. The veteran point guard has missed the past two games for the Warriors, allowing other guys on the roster to get more minutes.

One player in particular who is making the most of his increased role is Poole. Since March began, Poole has been on fire for the  Warriors, contributing 20.9 points and 2.6 assists per game in his past seven games.

In the past two games, with Curry sidelined with his tailbone injury, Poole has drawn the start for Golden State, accounting for a total of 51 points in that span. Even when Curry returns to the floor, Poole has shown Kerr enough to warrant a larger role in the second half of the season.

Besides Curry, the Warriors have struggled to find someone that can create their own shot on the offensive end, which has led Kerr to alter his rotation. Poole is more than capable of scoring with the ball in his hands and he's also become a consistent spot-up shooter when given the chance, making 44.2 percent of his three-pointers since the beginning of March.

Once Curry is able to return, he'll undoubtedly assume his role of being the go-t0 guy in the starting lineup again. On the other hand, Poole has earned himself a de facto sixth man role with the Warriors to finish the season.
