Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala will be a game-time decision tonight for Game 3 of the NBA Finals vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. Head coach Steve Kerr went on to add that he thinks it is likely that Iguodala will play.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, that “questionable” is leaning more toward him playing tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“Iguodala is pushing to return, at least in some capacity,” wrote Slater. “Kerr won’t reveal his starting lineups during these playoffs, but it’s likely Iguodala initially returns to a bench role, perhaps with a minutes limit.”

Iguodala hinted that he was pushing for a Game 2 return, but after being scratched for the home affair, would then shoot for Games 3 or 4, depending on which he'd be cleared for.

Having run on that bone bruise, reportedly “pain-free” after missing the past six games of the postseason, Iguodala's return could prove vital, even in limited capacity — putting another body on LeBron James — the one body that has proved to be his kryptonite during the past three NBA Finals.

Even 20 minutes of Iguodala (who will likely be gearing into getting his wind back) would represent a major break from Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson honing into the four-time MVP, and give the Warriors a pace-setting presence to steal one on the road and put the Cavs between the sword and the wall, staring at a potential 3-0 deficit.
