Golden State Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson reportedly has pain on certain moves and it's enough to warrant him injuring his hamstring even more, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.
Thompson suffered the left hamstring strain in Game 2 of the Finals. For the first time in his career, Thompson is missing a playoff game for the Warriors, as he's not playing in Game 3 on Wednesday.
Told by NBA source Klay’s pain in certain moves enough to warrant injuring it far worse. This is the vulnerable time.

Game 4 is on Friday. Thompson, assuming he has a productive practice day on Thursday, should be able to play in Game 4 since he's as tough as they come. It was a surprise to many to see the sharpshooter not play in Game 3, although it looks like it wasn't up to Klay.

In the 2019 playoffs, Thompson has been his usual productive self. He's averaging 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists and shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from beyond the arc and 89.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Hamstring injuries are so tricky. One misstep and the injury could get worse and linger. The Warriors want Thompson back as soon as possible, but they also don't want to put Thompson in danger of straining that hamstring and sidelining him for the rest of the Finals.
Thompson is an unrestricted free agent this summer. All signs point toward Klay re-signing with the Warriors, so both sides want to make sure Thompson's body goes into the summer in good shape.
