All the buzz going into the NBA offseason involves Paul George and LeBron James, and where exactly they will end up this offseason. One of the other big names that is going to be a free agent this offseason is Kevin Durant. but there hasn't been much talk about him, because most believe that he will be right back with the Golden State Warriors.
NBA Writer Andrew Sharp of Sports Illustrated was appearing on The Will Cain Show, and he said that Durant should actually consider leaving Golden State, and the reason why is surprising.
"This is Steph's team and it's always gonna be Steph's team."

Sharp brought up the point the reason he went to Golden State was because he was sick of finishing second and being behind LeBron James. Durant wanted his chance to be the center of the league, but by going to Golden State he actually lost his chance for that.

The Warriors did win the title together, but Sharp thinks that it is always going to be Stephen Curry's team, and people will always consider Durant just a side piece to him.
With the Warriors, he has to take a step back in terms of his individual success for the betterment of the team, and that isn't helping him become the center of the league this year. Sharp thinks this offseason he should look for a place where he can be the centerpiece, and still have a good chance at winning.
Chances are Durant is going to be back with the Warriors next season, but Andrew Sharp has some interesting points about why he should maybe think about leaving.
