For the first time in 17 years, superstars LeBron James and Kevin Durant weren't playing in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. The Los Angeles Lakers didn't make the postseason at all, and the Brooklyn Nets got swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round. The new generation of great players is arriving, but Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry says it's not the end for James and Durant.
Curry believes the NBA is evolving the way it's supposed to.

“It’s everything as far as the NBA growing,” the Warriors star told ClutchPoints. “The young core of guys coming in, you got to understand we were that team and those players at one point for like the Tim Duncan's, and KG’s and all those guys that we're trying to extend their prime and their careers, for as long as they could when we were coming into our prime. It's just the natural evolution of sports.”

Injuries were the biggest reason LeBron James and the Lakers didn't make the play-in games. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant and the Nets ran up against a youthful Celtics team led by Jayson Tatum. Father Time played a role in both of their seasons, but Stephen Curry insisted that their run of dominance isn't over.
“Talent is at an all-time high, I feel like across the board in the league, and you're seeing a little bit more parity now in terms of the teams that are kind of making it to this stage in the playoffs,” Curry added. “So it's a great time to be a fan, in terms of different faces coming out. You're still going to see those guys back, Bron, KD, all those guys you mentioned. It ain't like they're just going to ride off into the sunset either.”

Seeing the next generation challenge the older legends is one of the most entertaining things to watch in the NBA. The new generation always takes over at some point, but Curry, James, and Durant won't go down without a fight.
