Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently said that DeMarcus Cousins isn't close to playing in a game. When you see a play like this, though, it shows that Cousins is feeling a lot better and getting his explosiveness back.

Before he tore his Achilles in January with the New Orleans Pelicans, Cousins was averaging 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds in 48 games while shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc. The All-Star big man signed a one-year, $5.3 million deal with the Warriors in July.

Playing on the Warriors allows Cousins to take his time with this recovery. With stars like Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green leading Golden State, Cousins doesn't have to rush back and worry about his team struggling without him. That probably wouldn't have been the case had Boogie stayed in New Orleans or signed with another team.

The Warriors are 21-11 on the season, third place in the Western Conference.
