After a great defensive effort, Marquese Chriss of the Golden State Warriors threw the ball off Kendrick Nunn of the Miami Heat to complete a play.
Chriss showcased perfect timing by getting a piece of Nunn's layup. With the ball up in the air, Chriss got up to get it but had no one to pass it to. But the 22-year-old had the presence of mind to throw it off Nunn who was out of bounds.

In 48 games (10 starts), the athletic 6-foot-9 big man is averaging 8.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.0 block across 18.8 minutes. Chriss was actually waived by the Warriors on January 7 but was later picked up on Jan 15 and signed to a two-way contract.
But slowly and surely, Chriss is proving why he should be in the NBA and part of a rebuilding squad. In Saturday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Chriss dropped his second-highest scoring tally at 26 points on 12-of-15 shooting. This could be a sign of good things to come for the Steve Kerr-coached squad.
The Warriors are trying to build for the future. It is not going to come together this season, but a foundation is being built which could rise next October.
