Gordon Hayward was once beloved by fans to the Utah Jazz, but some of his recent comments may put an end to most of that love. A while back, a Jazz fan decided to call him LeBron James' “B-word,” which did not sit right with Hayward. Now heading into his second season with the Boston Celtics, Hayward decided to send a message back to that fan.

Soon after Hayward made the decision to leave Utah last offseason to sign with the Celtics in free agency, fans began burning his jersey. One even went so far as to say the below comment.

“Goodbye, Gordon. Thanks for betraying us. Have fun being LeBron’s little B-word.”

During an interview with Barstool Sports after LeBron James chose to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, Hayward decided to respond to that comment and what he said will anger Utah fans more than his deciding to leave the franchise.

“Now the Jazz might be LeBron’s little B-word.”

Hayward could not be more excited to get his second year with the Celtics underway. His first season was a nightmare as most fans will remember. In the first game of the year, Hayward broke his ankle against James and the Cleveland Cavaliers and was forced to miss the entire season.

In the interview with Pardon My Take, Hayward also talked about his love for his former college and current head coach Brad Stevens.

“Just his personality. He wasn’t going to scream at you or yell at you. He seemed pretty logical with how he did things, as far as practices were concerned. We’re not going to run you into the ground for three hours, because you have to play this weekend, and then I also want you to be good in March, too, which I thought was pretty cool.”

Boston and Hayward will head to Utah for his first time back in his old stomping grounds while healthy with his new squad on November 9. Utah is known for being a rowdy crowd and Hayward should expect to hear a good number of boos when he takes the court.
