After signing a four-year, $94 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies last year, Chandler Parsons only appeared in 34 games due to knee problems. As the Grizzlies have made numerous roster changes during the offseason, they are hoping Parsons can remain relatively healthy.
With Marc Gasol and Mike Conley still leading the way, the Grizzlies are planning to use Parsons as a stretch four heading into the 2017-18 NBA season according to Ronald Tillery of The Commercial Appeal:

It presents a challenge for us because all of the guards have to come back and rebound. So I have to do a great job on the glass when we go small like that. But I’m comfortable with the small-ball lineup.”
While the Grizzlies have been known for their ‘Grit and Grind' slogan through the years, they are now embracing small ball in head coach Dave Fizdale's second season. If Parsons is somehow able to stay relatively healthy, he could be the team's stretch four as a career 37.3 percent three-point shooter.
Heading into the new season, it may take time for them to gel together with numerous new additions. However, with Gasol and Conley around, they should still be competitive in the Western Conference.
