According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, point guard Chris Paul is expected to be out for Wednesday night's game against the Sacramento Kings with a bruised left knee.

Paul first suffered the injury during the preseason and missed the finale against the San Antonio Spurs on October 13th. He was able to give it a go in the Rockets' season opener last night, but couldn't finish the game as he sat for the final 1:59 with the knee injury. He finished with four points, eight rebounds, and 11 assists, but shot just 2-9 from the field.

After the game, reigning Coach of the Year Mike D'Antoni said that Paul was pretty much playing on one leg.

If the injury continues to be an issue for Paul, the Rockets may need to consider shutting him down for a period of time until he fully recovers from the bruised knee. Houston's next game will be their home opener on Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks.
