Houston Rockets center Clint Capela will miss his second straight game on Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Capela didn't play on Friday versus the Dallas Mavericks. His nagging heel contusion will likely keep him out of the lineup for a few games.

Capela has appeared in 39 games for the Rockets this season, averaging 13.9 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 62.9 percent from the field and 52.9 percent from the free-throw line. While he played in the team’s previous game, he has already missed a total of eight contests in the season.

Houston is averaging 118.7 points per game this 2019-20 campaign, which is second in the NBA. Once again, Mike D’Antoni has the Rockets playing at a fast pace, as they also rank second in the league in pace. Pace factor is an estimate of the number of possessions per 48 minutes by a team and Houston is at 103.8.

Once the playoffs begin, the Rockets will go as far as MVPs James Harden and Russell Westbrook can take them. Capela is important for rebounding, blocks and easy buckets at the basket.
