Recent Indiana Pacers addition Malcolm Brogdon is doing and saying all the right things ahead of a new stage of his career with his new team. The former Milwaukee Bucks restricted free agent was acquired in a sign-and-trade, and now vows to be the complementary piece Victor Oladipo needs to become a perennial All-Star:
“Victor [Oladipo] reached out to me immediately,” said Brogdon. “I'm looking forward to building a relationship with him… I want to help Victor be an All-Star every year.”
Brogdon has always been an unselfish player, despite what his gaudy 50-40-90 season may say for those who haven't watched him play.
The Virginia product ran the point guard position primarily during his Rookie of the Year season in 2016-17, but switched into a combo guard during his last two seasons, making way for Eric Bledsoe.

Brogdon is that type of player, a utility point guard who can contribute by scoring the ball from all three levels, but also make plays for Oladipo and the rest of the team, bringing a seamless fit to an already improving Pacers roster.
Brogdon is exactly what Oladipo needs to become that reliable go-to guy and potentially be part of the All-Star team every season.
The Pacers are hoping to cash in on their four-year, $85 million investment, and it seems that stellar backcourt is already starting to get acquainted after only a few days since the move was announced.
