You know you've got some problems when your star player is setting up “players only” meetings on Thanksgiving.

That's just what Indiana Pacers star Paul George did on Thursday.

“I wanted to get the guys together and kind of wanted to get them to just start seeing the game differently,” George said after Pacers shootaround, according to the Indy Star's Nate Taylor. “If there's action going on strong side, why can't we talk and say, ‘Hey, I'm going to set you up for this back screen or I'm going to get to you for this pindown.' No reason why we can't communicate on the offensive end.”

George will miss two more games for the 8-9 Pacers. The team can't afford to be without him much longer.

It's good for Pacers fan to see their star still taking an active role like this while he's not on the court. It left a good impression with Glenn Robinson III, who is one of the players who has received more of an opportunity in George's absence.

“He told us that we need more movement, we need to communicate on offense just as much as we do on defense, to have fun and remember that we’re a team and we should always be connected,” Robinson said. “I think we really took that to heart and it showed in this game. Paul is smart. Being on that USA (Olympic) team, he knows what it takes to be a winner. He knows the game really well and everyone was locked in and really listening to him.”

The Pacers play next on Sunday at home against the Clippers.
