Paul George‘s love for the Indiana Pacers organization is undeniable. The 10th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft has made plenty of strides in his young career and remains thankful to the franchise for sticking by his side through a tough 2014-15 season after suffering a broken leg playing for Team USA.

But as much as he loves the team that's seen him grow for the first six years of his career, there's nothing he loves more than winning.

The 6-foot-9 wing was this year's trade deadline prized possession, with rumors running rampant of potential destinations in Boston or his native L.A.

George was cheered during Wednesday night's 109-100 loss in Boston (a storied loyal crowd), after posting a game-high 37 points.

“Yeah, I guess they were in on the (trade) rumors,” he told Bill Doyle of the Worcester Telegram.

After realizing just how dependent the Pacers are on his abilities, the Palmdale native said he wanted to remain with the franchise if they had the chance to be great, but would talk to the front office if that isn't the case, according to Doyle.

George is entering the prime of his career, already a bona fide scorer in the league and one of the top two-way talents at the small forward position.

His talks with the front office could involve adding help, but judging from the additions made this past offseason and the results from the roster overhaul — it's likely he'd look to win elsewhere.

PG13 has a $20.7 million player option for 2018-19, but will stand to make a substantially superior amount of money if he remains with the team, at which point he'll be forced to weigh where his loyalties lie.
