Enes Kanter will be playing alongside his New York Knicks teammates against the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the NBA's Christmas Day offering. But instead of worrying about Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, the Knicks big man is concerning himself over good old Saint Nick.
Kanter referenced to a tweet from NORAD Tracks Santa (purpose of the account easily given away by its name) saying that Santa Claus is already doing his holiday duties in Turkey, Kanter's home country.
#NORAD confirms #Santa has arrived over Istanbul, Turkey. #Santa wants to express his thanks for all the children who left out the wonderful Turkish coffee, he said it helps with his long Christmas flight

It's a no brainer where Enes Kanter is coming from, despite the humor. The Knicks center was recently involved in a controversy where the Turkish government actually stated its plans to press charges against him for his highly-critical comment against his country's president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The said case could have Kanter face a prison sentence that could be as long as four years.
Hopefully, this light remark from Enes Kanter won't stir up the pot further with regards to his situation.
