While it is a testament to how much Kanter still values the friendship he has with the likes of Russell Westbrook, Andre Roberson, and Steven Adams, among others, it could also be a shot at Kevin Durant, as he was also part of the Thunder when he decided to take his talents to Oakland in the summer of 2016.

It should also be recalled that in Kanter's farewell message to the Thunder, he did request his former team to beat the Warriors for him.

The Knicks are scheduled to play the Warriors twice this regular season, and it will be interesting to see how Durant and company will perform against them. It will most likely setup a highly-competitive matchup, especially with Enes Kanter's history against the Warriors.
