Kristaps Porzingis has shown the New York Knicks' vision for his taking of the mantle through a few games this season, most recently on Tuesday against the Charlotte Hornets, as he hit a game-tying three-pointer with 1:48 left on regulations to help his team notch a third straight victory.
Head coach Jeff Hornacek lauded the unicorn and his clutch shot-making ability as signs of his stardom.

Porzingis shot an effective 10-of-15 en route to a game-high 28 points, including 4-of-8 from deep and a perfect 4-of-4 from the stripe, along with five rebounds and three blocks.
The 22-year-old is right behind fellow freak of nature Giannis Antetokounmpo in the scoring race, averaging 30 points per game in what has proven to be his best season yet, now as the No. 1 option for Hornacek's team.
A rare mix of size and dexterity, Porzingis abuses matchups on a regular basis, often creating them merely by being on the court and getting to his spots with relative ease after adding some muscle over the offseason. At 7-foot-3, his release point allows him to get nearly any shot off comfortably, spelling nightmares for his opposition.
