The Los Angeles Lakers received good news following the MRI test done on Kyle Kuzma, as results came back negative. However he still remains questionable to play on Saturday versus the Denver Nuggets, and is in danger of missing his second consecutive game, according to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times.

The 22-year-old Utah product sat out the Lakers’ loss to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday due to back spasms. It was the first time he did not suit up this year, as the injury has given him a lot of discomfort, and limited his mobility.
Article Continues BelowSo far this season, Kuzma has been a revelation for the Lakers, averaging impressive numbers of 16.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 31.3 minutes per game. He is also proving that he is the biggest steal of the draft, as he was only selected 27th overall back in June.
Larry Nance Jr. is still expected to start at the power forward spot for the team, while Julius Randle should see an uptick in his minutes if Kuzma will be forced to remain on the shelf. However, with the MRI results coming back negative, he shouldn’t miss a significant amount of time, and could return to action soon.
