LaVar Ball is no stranger to making headlines. Recently, LaVar spoke to TMZ to discuss LeBron James' signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. But he didn't stop there. He went on to clown DeMarcus Cousins and the Golden State Warriors declaring the Lakers as the favorite to win the championship next

Ball told TMZ:

“The Warriors can sign Boogie, Prince, Michael Jordan, anybody they want, they ain't gonna win with this team right here, Lakers with LeBron? If you don't give my son the best player in the game and don't win no championship.”

While the rest of the NBA community is already handing the Warriors their third straight championship and fourth in five years, Ball isn't so sure. The famous father is staying in character here.

LaVar predicted that James would sign with Los Angeles and now he's upping the ante. He's not stopping at one championship. He's calling for multiple championships for James and his LaVar's son Lonzo.

Nothing that LaVar Ball says should surprise anyone at this point. Everyone knows what to expect whenever someone sticks a camera or a microphone in his face. Brash talk is who he is.

But it's hard to take him seriously when he makes these types of predictions. It's all done with a smile and a wink.

Maybe the most surprising thing about Ball's comments is that he called James the best player in the game. It's shocking that he didn't say the second best player in the game—behind Lonzo, of course.
