Over the past two weeks, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Kyle Kuzma has been on a tear and continuing the strong start he's been having to his pro career. He has scored at least 19 points each game over that span and providing his team with a huge lift whether he starts or comes off the bench.

However, that wasn't the case on Wednesday, as he cooled off against the Memphis Grizzlies, only making 4-of-24 shots and finishing with nine points. Head coach Luke Walton discussed his struggles on the night, via ClutchPoints' own Dan Duangdao and said that he is reminding him of how important the rest of the game is and that it's not just about scoring.

While it is expected that the 22-year-old Utah product will have off nights, it is crucial that he still strives to contribute in other ways. His ability to locate teammates for easy baskets, as well as rebounding and defending are just some facets of the game which he can give his team if he finds it difficult to score.

The sub par performance may only be a fluke, but Walton is also doing his homework in finding ways for Kuzma to keep on learning. If he takes his coach's words for him to heart, he could be an even more effective player on the court and will allow him to be successful as his career advances.
