This summer, LeBron James will enter his third free agency campaign. Although James currently plays for his hometown team, there is a mix of uncertainty that the superstar small forward will leave this summer. In 2010, James left the Cavaliers to win championships with the Miami Heat. His plan worked, of course, and the Heat won back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013. However, James unexpectedly left again to re-join the Cavaliers in 2014. There was some initial talk that this move would be James' last and that he would settle down in Cleveland. Though, after delivering a title to his hometown in 2016, James has technically fulfilled his promise and could bolt to another team in the off-season.
This season, James has been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, a team that has made it known that they want to pursue the arguably the best player in the league. In fact, a Los Angeles lawyer already started a marketing campaign to recruit James to Los Angeles.

This is definitely interesting. Though, even this elaborate sales pitch probably won't be enough to persuade James to leave the Cavaliers. After all, James has proven that his mind is a mental fortress. His thoughts and planning are particularly kept under wraps from the media, so a potential signing with the Lakers could be all-hype. That doesn't disqualify any notion that he might join the Lakers. He does have business and financial ties there, and the Lakers are universally known throughout the NBA as a successful, championship-winning franchise. Maybe this lawyer knows more than everyone else does.
