With NBA free agency in full swing, all eyes are fixated on where small forward LeBron James will end up. Needless to say, all indications point towards the Los Angeles Lakers as his next destination.

Of course, this has been refuted by reports of James fielding interest from a number of other potential suitors. However, according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, he has already made his choice:

Yes, the Lakers are still favorites—but not total locks—to sign LeBron James, league sources say. For what it’s worth, some executives believe LeBron’s indecision is all theater, and he has already decided on the Lakers as his new team.

The notion of James stretching out his decision may seem a bit far-fetched. He made it clear this offseason that elaborate pitch meetings were not something he desired. That said, it would make little sense for him to take such a theatrical approach.

Of course, one can never know what to expect when it comes to free agency. Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Paul George had everyone convinced that he was joining the Los Angeles Lakers since he was traded last year. However, the Lakers were not even able to get a meeting before he made his decision.

Regardless, it is clear that James may be using a wait-and-see approach in order to encourage other star players on the market to look into Los Angeles. Recent reports suggest that the Lakers have now turned their attention toward centers DeMarcus Cousins and Clint Capela. If the purple and gold hope to confirm the reports about James' interest, signing one of these two big men is certainly a good place to start.
