LeBron James agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, but Magic Johnson wasn't the only one trying to recruit the superstar. The UFC took to Instagram to try and recruit James to an entirely different sport.
LeBron is a world-class athlete, but he probably wouldn't be bringing home any UFC titles anytime soon. He would be in the heavyweight division and would have to go up against the likes of a Cleveland guy in Stipe Miocic, Francis Ngannou, and Alistair Overeem. James would much rather take those guys one-on-one on the court instead of in the octagon.

Recruiting James has become a joke of its own. The UFC is just the latest to jump into the fray. In the past, people have speculated how LeBron would fare in the NFL, but he's always made it clear that basketball is the only sport for him. The Cleveland Browns could probably use James as a tight end.
But if the UFC really wanted to recruit a basketball player, they should take a look at James Johnson of the Miami Heat. The small forward is 7-0 in MMA bouts. The 6-foot-9 forward has the nickname, Bloodsport and has a background in kickboxing.
