The L.A. Clippers look like a hospital ward right now with plenty of hurt bodies in their fold. Out of the five players that started for the Clippers during their first game of the season, only one remains standing as of today. That’s DeAndre Jordan, who’s seen teammates Blake Griffin, Danilo Gallinari, Patrick Beverley, and Milos Teodosic all go down with varying injuries. As arguably the Clippers' best player, Jordan is left with a heavier workload on both ends of the floor.
Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, however, doesn’t want to pin too much responsibility on DeAndre Jordan, especially during times when plays break down and the team needs someone to alibi on offense, per Elliott Teaford of the Orange County Register.

That usually is the job for ex-Clippers guard Chris Paul and the currently-injured Griffin, but without the two and other aforementioned ailing players, Jordan’s usage on offense and defense have both risen of late.
Jordan is averaging 10.5 points and 13.9 rebounds per game this season. Over the last three games, though, Jordan is putting up 13.0 points and pulling down 15.0 boards.
DeAndre Jordan and the Clippers could get much-needed reinforcements soon, however, as Gallinari and Teodosic are reportedly nearing a return to action.
