The Los Angeles Clippers are emanating the same calculated poise as star Kawhi Leonard, who brushed off a Christmas Day showdown against the hallway neighbors, the Los Angeles Lakers, which will take place a week from now.
As Leonard sees it, he's not giving it that much thought just yet:
“I’m not thinking about that right now,” said Leonard. “We’ve got a game before that.”

The Clippers actually have three games before they face the Lakers on the biggest stage of this regular season — slated to be the center of attraction during a five-game Christmas Day slate.
LA must get through the Houston Rockets at home and then past the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder on the road before the battle for Los Angeles resumes.
Leonard and company drew first blood in the season opener, but the Lakers have rebounded to win 24 of their next 27 games since — now a much more complete team than they were two months ago.
The Clippers are also vastly improved now that Paul George has rejoined the team after offseason shoulder surgeries, but PG-13 and Kawhi Leonard are still figuring out the bearings of playing together. The Lakers already have that going for them, as LeBron James has given way to Anthony Davis to be the leading scorer, while he leads the league in assists with formidable poise.
