LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard will be held out of Wednesday night's matchup against the Utah Jazz, according to a report from ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

As part of his report, MacMahon noted that Leonard will be available for Thursday night's game in San Antonio:

Leonard, who joined the Clippers this offseason, is not listed with any injuries, which means he's likely getting a night off for load management on this back-to-back set.

Though it's only been a small sample, Leonard is already proving to be a great acquisition for the Clippers. In his four appearances with the team thus far, the former San Diego State standout has racked up averages of 27.0 points on 51.9 percent shooting from the field (36.8 percent from beyond the arc), 7.5 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks in 28.8 minutes per outing.

Leonard's absence will leave the Clippers a bit thin at the small forward position for Wednesday night's matchup against the Jazz, as Rodney McGruder is still dealing with an ankle injury. Paul George, who also joined the Clippers this offseason, has been ruled out for at least the first ten games as he recovers from a pair of shoulder surgeries.

Wednesday night's Clippers-Jazz matchup is scheduled to tip inside Vivint Smart Home Arena at 10:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
