It's safe to say Lou Williams has been on a tear lately. The Los Angeles Clippers guard racked up 30 points and 10 assists against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday in just 22 minutes on the court. That stat line has a certain significance about it:

Lou Williams has always been known as someone who can provide a scoring spark. He can put up big numbers in limited time, and that's what makes him such an effective bench player.

Now there's a little extra something to highlight when making the case for him being one of the better sixth men in NBA history — as he has done something no one else has.

This is just the latest monster performance from Lou Williams this season. He has scored double-digit points in 25 straight games, and he has even kicked it up a notch over his last two.

The 32-year-old scored 45 points on 13-of-25 shooting and 16-of-16 from the foul line on Monday. Then he followed it up with that first-ever stat line on Wednesday, shooting a clean 12-of-16 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line.

Williams has appeared in 53 games this year, starting none and averaging 19.9 points and 5.3 assists per game. Already a front-runner for Sixth Man of the Year, if he keeps up the incredible stat lines there's virtually no way he doesn't take the award home.

The Clippers are currently in eighth place in the Western Conference with a 32-27 record. They're only three games back from fourth place but one game ahead of the ninth-place Sacramento Kings.

If they want to stay in the playoff picture, Lou Williams will need to produce a few more big games. He will likely be up to the task.
