Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell has finally decided to speak out regarding the NBA's recent ban on ninja-style headbands.

A couple of days ago, multiple outlets have reported that NBA and Nike have decided to ban the ninja-style headbands because players looked ‘unprofessional.' These headbands started to become a trend last season when players like then-Philadelphia 76ers' Jimmy Butler started to wear them. Harrell was one of the individuals who followed suit.

NBA communications officer Mike Bass has confirmed with ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the league seemed to have made the decision to ban the ninja-style headbands during the 2018-19 season, but they chose to postpone its implementation because “We didn't want to cause a disruption by intervening midseason.”

But the decision wasn't made by the NBA and Nike alone, as Woj added that multiple teams have expressed concerns regarding the consistency in size and length of these headbands.

It is unclear if the negative reactions coming from players who donned the headgears last season will cause the NBA to change its mind, but at this point, it looks like the league has no plans of overturning the decision.

Then again, it is expected that Harrell and his fellow NBA stars will not give too much attention to this matter moving forward, as they will be more focused on helping their respective teams succeed this upcoming season.

Entering his fifth year in the league, Harrell is expected to play a big role in the Clippers' quest to win an NBA championship.
