Los Angeles Clippers point guard Patrick Beverley had high praise for Kawhi Leonard's fourth-quarter performance in Sunday night's victory over the Utah Jazz.

Leonard struggled to find a rhythm in the first half of Sunday's matchup, as the Jazz were hounding him on the defensive end of the floor. In fact, The Klaw went 1-for-9 before the halftime horn. Things were looking fairly bleak — until the fourth quarter.

Leonard poured in 18 of his 30 points in the final 10:32 of the game, leading the Clippers to a 105-94 win. He entered the fourth quarter with a 4-of-15 mark from the field, but went on to knock down five shots, including a pair of 3-pointers. He also had two big assists and two steals in that span.

Beverley gave his take on how Leonard was able to rise to the task after a tough start:

“How do you explain (Kawhi's) ability to rally like that?” a reporter asked Beverley during his postgame media availability.

“I mean, he's a Finals MVP twice,” Beverley calmly replied.

Some players might shy away from taking more shots after such a first-half performance. Leonard, however, continued to be aggressive:

“With me, I think it's just about taking advantage of the moment and not shying away,” Leonard said, via ESPN. “Just keep going to your spots and shooting, and keep being aggressive for the team, and don't shy away, pretty much. That's what I take my pride in.”

With Sunday's win, the Clippers improved to 5-2 on the young season. They'll be back in action on Wednesday night, as they're scheduled to host the Milwaukee Bucks. Tip-off inside Staples Center is set for 10:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
