The world of the Twitter beef has now spread to L.A. Clippers point guard Patrick Beverley and ESPN Insider Amin Elhassan.
Elhassan was once in the front office of the Phoenix Suns before he became an ESPN personality, appearing on several shows including SportsNation. He is also is a member of Leverage The Chat network and appears on the Black Opinions Matter Mondays podcast.
But Elhassan is mostly known for giving his basketball opinion on ESPN shows, which is possibly where Beverley first saw Elhassan. It could have also been on Twitter.
Either way, Elhassan must have said something Beverley did not like. The Clippers guard, who is out for the season after having knee surgery, took to his own Twitter account to publicly admonish Elhassan for something he said.
This Amin guy. He know absolutely nothing!!! Has he even played basketball before??

Elhassan, who makes a habit out of responding to trolls on Twitter, responded in typical Elhassan fashion.
I loved @patbev21 in White Men Can’t Jump. #Sizzlers pic.twitter.com/HsvnlLSojZ

Ladies and gentlemen, what we have here is a troll-off.
Beverley is a person who loves to openly give his opinion on Twitter, and Elhassan is much the same way. Each of them are at fault here.
It must be said, however, that Elhassan makes a habit of giving hot takes on TV and any other medium provided to him. Again, we don't know what the hot take was, but it's very possible that it was about the Clippers.
Beverley is a very prideful basketball player, and he is certainly proud of this team. There was no way any ill-speaking of the Clippers would go unnoticed by him.
On the other hand, Elhassan has spent time in NBA front offices before, so he does know a thing or two about the NBA.
