Everybody on the phone breaks out laughing and then I jump on, ‘Mom, I'm coming home. I'm coming to the Clippers.' And she was just happy. She loves that she sees me a lot more. She goes to more games, it's a lot easier on her.”
George's mom suffered a stroke when Paul was just a kid. As a result, traveling for her is difficult, which is why George is so happy to be home in Los Angeles playing for the Clippers.
George is averaging 24.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 21 games this season for the Clippers. He’s shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 40.1 percent from beyond the arc and 90.5 percent from the free-throw line.
The Clippers, with Kawhi Leonard and George leading the way, are championship contenders for the first time in franchise history. LA is 22-10 on the season.
