Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George has some heartwarming words of praise for coach Doc Rivers, encouraging his well-rounded approach, from Xs and Os to his interpersonal skills:
Paul George on Doc Rivers – “Doc is just phenomenal from play calling to kind of just being a father figure… I think just the relationship with him & allowing us to be ourselves, to bring what we bring w/o losing what the big goal is is what you want out of a coach.” #Clippers pic.twitter.com/nUciQdQ8WR

George has balled out since returning from injury, and it's clear he's feeling right at home with his new team and a new coach in Rivers, who has always been known as a guy players want to play for.
Rivers has managed plenty of stars during his time as an NBA coach and even survived the test of egos during his time with the Boston Celtics, who had Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo on the same roster.
George and Kawhi Leonard already wanted to play with each other for a while, but having a coach who instills confidence in Rivers was just as vital in their decision to team up in Los Angeles.
In four games since his since debut, George is averaging 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, now helping the Clippers to a three-game win streak after beating the Celtics in an overtime war on Wednesday.
This epic game also featured the first time we saw George and Leonard on the floor together, and the Clippers will only get better as they form chemistry and Rivers figures out the best way to deploy his rotations.
