Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George revealed that Russell Westbrook had no hard feelings against him when he requested for a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
George and Westbrook played two seasons together with the Thunder. Westbrook was one of the main reasons why George signed a four-year, $136.91 million contract with Oklahoma City last year. However, George eventually asked the Thunder to trade him to the Clippers this summer.
The Thunder granted George's request, trading him to the Clippers, where he will team up with Kawhi Leonard starting next season.
Talking about his relationship with Westbrook after the trade request, George said that the former NBA Most Valuable Player understood his decision.

“Same conversation me and Russ always have,” George said via Rachel Nichols of ESPN. “He was happy, he understood. He was all for it. We talked as men and again, he was happy for me and he wanted me to do what was best for me and my career.”
Westbrook also eventually told the Thunder that he is open to getting traded to another team after George's departure. OKC also gave into his request, sending him to the Houston Rockets.
Westbrook wanted to be traded to the Rockets to reunite with former teammate James Harden.
