Los Angeles Clippers All-Star Paul George isn't expected to suit up for the team for the month of October, which means he'll miss at least the first six regular-season games. He's still recovering from the multiple surgeries he had several months ago, and he's taking his time in making sure that he returns at full strength.
This isn't the first time that George has dealt with injuries in his career, so he already knows how to manage himself whenever his in this type of situation. He told LA Times' Andre Greif in an interview that he's using his experiences as a means to assess himself, making sure that he doesn't return prematurely on the court.

George has been known to handle his injuries well. It wasn't long ago when he suffered that broken leg while playing for Team USA. Most people thought that he wouldn't be the same after that, but PG kept working hard and he's become an even better player ever since. In fact, he was one of the candidates to win the MVP award last season.
It's crucial for George to make sure that he's 100 percent healthy before suiting up for the Clippers this season. The team is going to embard on their a championship quest, and he will play a major role in making sure that they hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy next year. If he decides to rush his return, it might create more harm than good not only for him, but also for the franchise.
