Los Angeles Clippers swingman Paul George has further cemented his place as one of the best two-way players in the league today, becoming only the second player in the last 10 seasons to score 26 points and rack up six steals in less than 30 minutes of play.

George, who achieved the feat in the Clippers’ 114-99 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, joined his teammate Kawhi Leonard as the only two players to do so.

Leonard had 26 points and seven steals in just 24 minutes back in 2015 when he was still a member of the San Antonio Spurs.

The Clippers, meanwhile, were already a formidable defensive team last year with guys like Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell leading the charge.

Add two of the best wing defenders in the league today in the equation, and the Clips have turned into a downright scary team at that end of the floor.

The team is currently ranked eighth in the league in overall defensive rating at 103.1 points and are a spot behind their cross city rivals Lakers. That number will likely improve significantly in the coming months, as Leonard and George have just started sharing the court together after the latter got back from injury.

Leonard has also been sitting out back-to back games this year due to load management. Still, it’s hard to deny the reigning NBA Finals MVP’s prowess when he does suit up, scoring 25.8 points per game while also notching two steals.

George also brings the same impact, tallying 25.1 points and collecting 1.9 steals in his first seven games back.
