Before the season was suspended in March, George was averaging 21.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists for the Clippers in 42 games.

The California native told Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles on the Knuckleheads podcast that the hiatus was great for him since he was able to rest his surgically repaired shoulders.

“This little pause right now has been perfect. I feel amazing right now. My shoulders literally like two or three weeks ago finally loosened all the way up to where I don’t really gotta do shoulder rehab no more,” Paul George told Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles.

“I was still doing shoulder rehab all the way up until about three weeks ago and this was almost a full year since I had them done… It’s just been a process, and my body just feels great right now. It’s responding well, I’ve been lifting and working out every day, staying ready, but I needed this little break.”

The Clippers have the second-best record in the Western Conference standings. They are 5.5 games back of the Los Angeles Lakers.

With George and Kawhi Leonard leading the way, the Clippers have a good chance of winning their first-ever NBA title once the 2020 playoffs start in August.
