Detroit Pistons big man Blake Griffin returned to Staples Center to face his former team in the L.A. Clippers Saturday afternoon and the All-Star power forward took care of business.

In fact, Griffin was so into the game that he was not allowing himself to get distracted even by Clippers owner Steve Ballmer. During shootaround, Ballmer was seen approaching Griffin to shake hands, but the latter dismissed the former's presence and ran straight to the tunnel.

After the game, the Pistons talisman explained his side, saying him running to the locker room after warming up has been his routine for the longest time. Griffin emphasized that he's not going to change his pre-game ritual for anyone — even his former boss.

Apparently, the hype did not end on the court. A close look at Blake Griffin's Twitter activity shows one interesting “like” that involved, of course, the Clippers:

blake griffin

It was absolutely an eventful game for Griffin that had its share of color prior (see Ballmer above), during (see 44 points and the altercation with Patrick Beverley), and after with this curious Twitter activity.

Fans and pundits, alike, can argue all day on how bad the Clippers treated Griffin in the trade with the Pistons, but it's over and done with — period. However, what's not yet finished is the season series between these two teams as the Beverley and company will visit Little Caesars Arena in a little over two weeks.
