After dropping 81 points in a Pro-Am game recently, Isaiah Thomas has once again caught the eye of the NBA. With the free agency still in full swing, Thomas could definitely provide a boost to teams looking for depth in their backcourt, showing that he's still got plenty left in the tank.

Hoping to resurrect himself as an All-Star caliber combo guard, Thomas recently proved that he's worthy of an NBA contract. Now that he's fully healthy after spending the past few seasons rehabbing and working on his game, Thomas could make a historic comeback and shine big as an All-Star once again during the 2021-22 NBA season.

With all these said, let's take a look at the three teams that must sign Isaiah Thomas.

Los Angeles Lakers 

With the Lakers now stringing together a deep roster of veteran All-Stars, Thomas would fit right in and give them a much-needed backup guard who could help bolster their second unit. His speed, strength, and court vision enable him to get to the hoop seamlessly and knock down jumpers from anywhere on the court while also being able to create opportunities for his teammates.

If the Lakers want to make another solid addition to their already deep roster this offseason, then adding a rejuvenated Isaiah Thomas is definitely a move that general manager Rob Pelinka should reflect on making. Considering that they could use another scorer, adding Thomas would be an absolute steal for them.

Philadelphia 76ers 

Now that the Sixers will likely have a void to fill at the point guard spot, adding the likes of an electric scorer and playmaker like Thomas would do wonders for Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Matisse Thybulle. Plus, adding him to a guard rotation that already features Seth Curry, Danny Green, Shake Milton, and Tyrese Maxey would give the Sixers a veteran combo guard who can provide them with leadership and instant offense.

This would also allow the Sixers to play a faster two-way style of basketball while creating all kinds of mismatches for opposing defenses. If they want to be bold and add a quality veteran and All-Star caliber playmaker, then this is a move that president of basketball operations Daryl Morey should look into.

Golden State Warriors 

Looking to add more depth in their backcourt to give more help to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson next season, the addition of IT would be a perfect move for the Warriors to make. With his lights-out shooting and selfless play, he'd thrive in their up-tempo pass-first offense.

Thomas could provide meaningful minutes for the Warriors and give them a much-needed boost in their backcourt, allowing Curry and Thompson more time to rest while lessening their offensive load. If the Warriors want to add a proven talent that can add an immediate impact during their postseason push next season, then the addition of Isaiah Thomas would be a great decision for them this offseason.
