Denver Nuggets rookie Michael Porter Jr. had bad intentions for the rim, but Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis had other plans. MPJ rose up for a massive dunk attempt in the third quarter of Game 5. Davis, however, met the 22-year old at the cup and emphatically denied him at the apex.

That's a Defensive Player of the Year play right there.
Porter Jr. certainly doesn't lack in the confidence department. But as valiant as his effort was, that's one of the best shot blockers in the league he's going at.
Davis, who finished no. 2 in DPOY voting this season, has been Los Angeles' defensive anchor throughout the season. And that was on full display on this play.
