Earlier in the week, NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar revealed in an interview with Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation that Dwight Howard did not want to work with him during his lone season with the team.

It didn't take long for Howard to fire back on his personal Instagram account where he promoted his story about the topic at hand with a direct quote from Abdul-Jabbar.

Ward responded by stating it wasn't his words but rather that he was reporting what the NBA Hall of Famers stated to him during the interview for Lakers Nation. However, Howard responded again stating that there are still many details missing from the situation such as him being told by the Lakers not to train with Abdul-Jabbar.

Howard did indeed post a photo of himself and Abdul-Jabbar on Twitter shortly after he was traded to the Lakers back in August 2012, which does bring some credence to his side of the story. It also brings questions as to why the team may have told him not to work with the NBA legend.

If he is hoping to clear up the entire perception, Ward did repeatedly offer to interview Howard to get his end of things out in the public. It's now up to him about whether he wants to clear up the air about what went down.
