During one of the timeouts in the game between the visiting Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, a lucky fan was chosen to shoot from half court with a chance to win a lot of money if he makes it.
Jerald Acoba, a Laker fan from Tulare, California showed no jitters as the stadium announcer introduced him to the home crowd. He quickly gathered himself after receiving the ball and threw a heave straight to the hoop and through the net. After making the shot, he celebrated by pointing to his arm just like D'Angelo Russell did while saying “I got ice in my veins.”
Not only he did he win $95,000, but he was also congratulated by some of the Lakers' players like Nick Young, Julius Randle, and Russell himself.

D'Angelo Russell spoke about the fan winning the huge amount of money and also said he appreciates seeing fans do his signature celebration.
“It's good to see a lot of kids and fans keeping that going, ‘ice in the veins' [celebration], I appreciate everybody for that.”
“That's a lot of money, man. Take care of it.”
Acoba became just the fifth winner since the 2006-2007 season to win the jackpot, which grew every time someone missed their attempt during the team's home games.
