Although he has his own signature shoes from Big Baller Brand, Lonzo Ball still wore other NBA stars’ during the Summer League. From Stephen Curry to James Harden’s sneakers, he both rocked them on the court back then.
Now with the Los Angeles Lakers playing their second preseason game on Monday, the 19-year-old rookie was spotted sporting Kobe Bryant’s signature kicks during warm-ups, and is expected to play with them on against the Denver Nuggets inside Staples Center.

It is not the first time Ball wore The Black Mamba’s shoes, as back in the Summer League, he wore the Kobe AD’s during a game. It’s still unclear why he decides not to wear his own, as it could increase its sales, together with his impressive outings. However, it’s believed to be a ploy planned all along by his father, LaVar, who despite his unique and controversial ways, is considered by many as a marketing genius.
The Lakers will be playing three more games after their game on Monday, and it remains to be seen whether Lonzo Ball will opt to wear other players’ shoes or not.
