The entire basketball world is awaiting for Kawhi Leonard's decision on where he will take his talents next season, and it should come within the next few days.
As Leonard's decision looms, Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times reports that a $10,000 bet came in on the Los Angeles Lakers to win the 2020 NBA title:
A $10,000 bet just came in on the Lakers at 7/4 to win the NBA Championship at the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook. The last time that happened Anthony Davis’ trade to the Lakers was reported 30 minutes later.

Apparently, according to Markazi, the last time a bet this huge came in for the Lakers to win the championship, they landed Anthony Davis 30 minutes later.
The Kawhi-to-the-Lakers buzz is certainly getting louder and louder. Some reports are saying that it's already a done deal and it's just a matter of time before Leonard's camp announces it. Should it eventually come to fruition, we'll probably look back at this report as one of the telling signs of the deal.
Article Continues BelowThe addition of Leonard would make the Lakers the heavy favorite to take home the “Larry OB” next season. A trio of Leonard, Anthony Davis, and LeBron James could potentially become the greatest Big Three of all time.
Sure, they'd have limited money to sign other free agents, but those vets will come funneling in to join the ride to a potential championship with Leonard, Davis, and James at the forefront.
Still, teams like the LA Clippers and Leonard's incumbent squad, the defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors, have not lost hope. The Clippers still have plenty of cap space left. The Raptors, on the other hand, are still confident that their title run can convince the two-time Finals MVP to run it back and try to go for a repeat.
Leonard continues to be patient with the process, and no one should blame him for taking his time as the three favorites to land him restlessly wait for his decision.
