It was a rough night for Andre Drummond in his Los Angeles Lakers debut. The newest member of the Purple & Gold had to cut his much-awaited return to the floor early after bruising his left toe. He has only played 14 minutes at that point and did not return.
Apparently, the two-time All-Star even had to switch up his kicks in the middle of the game against the Milwaukee Bucks, which still didn't help as he had to wobble his way out of the floor in the third period.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Drummond switched from Air Jordan XIs to a LeBron 16 Low. This switch-up didn't do wonders for Drummond as he ended his evening early with an unflattering line of just four points, one rebound, and one block in his first start for the defending champions.

Andre Drummond started the game in a pair of Air Jordan XI IEs, switched to a pair of LeBron 16 Lows and had to leave the game and take off the right sneaker, revealing a wrap on his right big toe. He's back in the locker room now. We'll see if he tries pair No. 3.

Someone get this man a shoe deal. Or better yet, just comfortable kicks he can ball with, please.
Drummond is poised to add length and frontcourt presence to the Lakers in their bid to defend their crown. The Lakers haven't had a real center aside from Marc Gasol in their roster this season after they let go of Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee. So adding Drummond, a four-time rebounding champion was definitely a huge boost.
But with this apparent injury, the Lakers might have to wait a while before they get some tangible results from their beefed-up roster. If Andre Drummond ends up missing time due to his toe issue, the Lakers will now be without three of their All-Stars as both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are still out with their respective injuries.
