Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis made headlines on Tuesday not only because of his status for Game 5, but also for his incredible Kobe Bryant tribute shirt.

Davis, who was eventually ruled out of the crucial contest against the Phoenix Suns, was spotted wearing a Kobe shirt that had everyone asking: where did he get that?

It was undoubtedly an awesome design that honors the memory of the Black Mamba, unarguably the greatest player ever to don the Lakers jersey.

The timing of him wearing that shirt couldn't be more fitting as well. He was probably hoping to channel his inner Mamba Mentality to play through the pain of the groin strain he suffered in Game 4. Unfortunately, the team decided to sit him out in the mean time as they try to be cautious of his condition.

Now, Anthony Davis can only hope that his Lakers teammates show their inner Black Mambas as well in a bid to regain the advantage over the Suns. After all, Game 5 is undoubtedly crucial as it gives the winner at least two more chances to advance to the next round.

LeBron James has boosted the confidence of the Lakers that he can shoulder the pressure and lead them to victory. However, there is no doubt the team needs Davis if they want to improve their chances on winning the series against the Suns.

Here's to hoping Davis can recover from the injury quickly and fight through the setback just like what Kobe showed time and time again during his remarkable stint with the Purple and Gold.
