Anthony Davis has been everything the Los Angeles Lakers needed and more. The former All-Star center missed significant time this season due to multiple injuries. However, since his return to the lineup a few days ago, he's been determined to prove his value on this team.
After a huge comeback win against the New York Knicks at home, Anthony Davis garnered an achievement never before seen in Laker-land since Shaquille O'Neal in 2001. Davis became the first Laker to post 25 points and 15 rebounds in three consecutive games since Shaq. (via ESPN Stats & Info)

Davis has struggled with injuries all season long. The Lakers star missed a chunk of the season with a knee injury, as well as several other lingering injuries from past seasons. In his absence, LA tiptoed the line between a good team and a bad team, mainly due to other injuries to their star players.
Now, though, the Lakers have their three stars back together on the floor. With LeBron and Westbrook playmaking for Davis, the All-Star center's life just got a lot easier. Against the Knicks, they found a way to come back from a huge deficit thanks to Davis and the returning LeBron James.
There were high expectations surrounding the Lakers this season. After acquiring multiple marquee free agents and trading for Russell Westbrook, fans were expecting this team to be a title contender. They hit a significant roadblock early in the year, but they are getting healthy at the right time. If everything goes well, this team can make it back all the way to the Finals.
