Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers were given a bit of good news on Monday ahead of their matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. LA head coach Frank Vogel provided a key update on the injury status of Anthony Davis and as it turns out, the All-Star big man might be able to take the floor on Monday night.

According to coach Vogel, AD's status has been upgraded to probable for Monday's game (h/t Jovan Buha of The Athletic):

Davis has been dealing with a slew of injuries of late, which most recent includes a right thumb sprain and a stomach illness. On Saturday, the Lakers star tried to play through his injuries against the Portland Trail Blazers. His sprained thumb was not the issue, but apparently, AD threw up four times before the game due to the stomach flu he had. Davis managed just seven minutes of action before he was forced to sit out the remainder of the contest.

The fact that he's probable to take the court for the Lakers on Monday is definitely a positive sign. It looks like the extra days of rest have allowed AD to recover from the stomach illness.

The Lakers are a mess right now and they will want to score a win against on Monday following back-to-back losses. With LeBron James still out, LA will need to get AD back as soon as possible.
