It looks like Anthony Davis spent his time on the sidelines watching a lot of game film. As it turns out, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar may have taken a lot of time looking at none other than Stephen Curry.

AD busted out his best Steph impersonation with this very impressive scoop layup (h/t the Lakers on Twitter):

AD was playing in just his second game back following a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The Lakers star missed 30 games for his team as he recovered from a calf injury. Based on his performance in the first half against the Mavs, it looks like Davis is quickly returning to form:

In his first game back, Davis just played 17 minutes and was pretty much ineffective for the Lakers. They ended up losing to the Mavs on Friday, 115-110.

Prior to Saturday's rematch, however, LA coach Frank Vogel announced that the team intended to increase Davis' restriction to 25 minutes.  This is far from his usual workload, but it should be enough for the All-Star big man to make a significant impact on the ballgame. This has indeed been the case for him in the first half.

The Lakers and the Mavs are in a tight race right now for the fifth spot in the West. The defending champs are currently the owners of the fifth seed, with Dallas just two and a half games behind them.
